Douglas Duane LaBare

Douglas Duane LaBare of Missoula, MT, born January 3, 1963, in Raleigh, NC, passed away February 3rd, 2025; after battling a long illness, he was 62 years old.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Vaillancourt LaBare of Cheyenne, WY and his father Roger Duane LaBare of Missoula, MT.

He is survived by his loyal four-legged companion Aspen, daughter Jaden Joann Smith, sons Lane D. and Christian D. LaBare and 3 grandchildren, all of Missoula, MT. Sister René D. LaBare of Casper, WY, nephew Keith D. LaBare of Rifle, CO and long-time friend George Tetrault of Helene, MT.

Doug was a jack of all trades, his biggest achievements were owning his own business and showing off his carpentry skills.  He loved working up and down the valley, while living in Glenwood Springs, CO before moving his family up north to Missoula, MT. When he wasn’t working, he loved riding his Harley across the country, sky diving, tinkering and spending time with his kids. Doug made sure his kids knew how to have fun and while teaching them the skills to be successful adults. Doug was a loving and devoted father, a giving man and a reckoning on two wheels. He will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 12th, 2025 at the Fairfield Inn, starting at 1 pm; 5252 Airway Blvd, Missoula, MT 59808.
