MISSOULA ~ Dr. Gerald C. Kempthorne, 92, of Missoula, Montana passed away on Monday July 17, 2023, at the Beehive Assisted Living, of natural causes. He was born on September 18, 1930, in Platteville, Wisconsin to Matie and Guy Kempthorne. After losing the love of his life, Jerry retired and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. Jerry enjoyed golfing, walking, playing his Steinway piano, writing letters, and emailing his friends, and hosting a martini club in his Scottsdale home. I have fond memories of Jerry when he worked with my husband, John Theos at Wisconsin Physicians Service in Madison, Wisconsin. I remember being invited to Jerry and Meips home in Spring Green, Wisconsin. After my husband died I still kept up with Jerry. We would talk on the phone & he would tell me how much he loved his home in Scottsdale. I use to always wait for his Christmas letters. He always liked to share about his sons, daughter-in-law & his grandchildren. Rest in peace. I have so many memories of such a generous, loving, wonderful friend throughout these years.
