Leslie “Pete” E. Blouin, 72, passed away at home on September 28, 2026. Born December 14, 1953, Pete was a proud Montana original, a patriot, and a loving grandfather. He was a graduate of Dutton High School and the University of Montana.

Growing up in Dutton, Pete had endless adventures, raised by his grandparents, John and Vivian Wilson. Pete first saw Ginny while she was playing softball in Conrad, Montana, in 1979. That first glimpse began a love story that would grow into a lifetime together. They married in August 1980.

Over the years, he worked as a grain bin builder, concrete truck driver, concrete finisher, accountant, and refinery pipefitter. He was a problem-solver, a gifted mechanic, and a collector of projects, each one carrying the promise of what it could become. If it could be fixed, rebuilt, or improved, Pete brought it home.

A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Pete loved flat track and ice racing and was perfectly happy riding his motorcycle in the dead of a Montana winter. He collected antique motorcycles and automobiles. He also enjoyed water skiing, baseball, softball, rock ’n’ roll, trains, battleships, and history.

Pete was a proud member of the Montana Legends Motorcycle “Cult” Group and was the founding father of the Vegetable Defense League. He was also a legendary smart-ass, a quality that provided his family and friends with plenty of laughter over the years.

Pete was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Vivian Wilson; parents, Les and Doris Blouin. He is survived by his wife, Ginny Blouin; sister, Corinne Sheridan; children, Harmony Blouin, Pierre Blouin, and Evita (Blouin) Nagle; grandchildren Leslie, Michael, Henry, Ellis, Kaija, Cooper, and Coira; great-grandchildren Tridian, Grayson, Zynnia, and Sequoia; as well as his 1956 GMC and 1947 Indian Chief, which may have been family members in their own right.

Pete leaves behind memories, laughter, friendships, and enough projects to keep everyone busy for years.  A celebration of life is scheduled for October 10th from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Charlie B’s, 428 N Higgins Ave, Missoula, MT 59802. Ride your motorcycle if you have one; Pete would approve. In lieu of sending flowers, bring home your next big idea.
