Arthur "Art" Bailey

Passed on December 9th, 2025, at the age of 83 in Missoula, MT.  Art passed away peacefully at home holding the love of his life and wife’s hand.

 

Arthur Leroy Bailey was born on March 18th, 1942, in Sidney MT to Leo and Georgia Bailey.  He was the oldest of 6 deceased siblings: Joyce Boyer, Patricia Bailey, Gloria Bailey, Judy Bailey and Randy Bailey.

 

Art Married Carol Green (Bailey) on July 8th, 1961, in McMinnville, OR.  Art and Carol celebrated 64 wonderful years together.  They had 3 children: Debby Brault (Kelly Brault), Theresa Bailey (Deceased), and Steven Bailey (Shari Bailey).

 

Art retired in March of 2004 from Stimson Lumber Co. after serving 40 years in the timber industry.

 

He had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.  However, his most beloved activity was spending time with his family and friends.

 

Arthur L. Bailey is survived by his wife Carol Bailey, his children, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. 

 

A celebration of life will be held on June 20th, 2026, from 1-4pm at the Meadow Lark Shelter at Fort Missoula in Missoula, Mt.
