17 de enero de 1940 - 3 de febrero de 2025
Mary Diane McBain was born on January 17, 1940 to Mary and Clifton McBain. She told us of her young memories going to the fire station to visit her dad who was a fire chief. She enjoyed ice skating and going to the movies as a young child. Her parents divorced when she was very young and her dad then married her step mother Nita. They gave her a brother when she was a teenager, David McBain (Sandy) whom she loved very much. She married Vincent Robillard and had three children, Nadine (Larry) Branson, Donald Robillard, and Lisa Bailey. After they divorced she later met Larry Bergman whom she married March of 1967. Larry came with three bonus children as well, Karen Bergman, Bonnie Bergman, and Kelly (Megan) Bergman. Together they created two more children, Robert (Jennifer) Bergman, and Linda (Ed) Hawkins. A wonderful family of yours, mine, and ours. Larry and Diane met in Maine while he was serving in the Airforce and traveled together with their children till he retired in Great Falls and then moved to Frenchtown, Montana. Diane worked at Hennessy’s/ Dillard’s in Missoula, Montana for over 20 years selling children’s and men’s clothing. Diane was a wonderful wife and mother. She and Larry grew amazing gardens together to feed their large family that were so spectacular that people would stop to admire and ask about them. She was also a great cook and baker. She made the best spaghetti, breads, cinnamon rolls and pizza.
Diane fought a long hard fight with Larry by her side every step of the way. He was the best husband to her she could have ever had.
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you
And whispered,
Come to me.
With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away
And although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove us
He only takes the best.
Diane and Larry were blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was very much loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by all.
