Recuerdos

Helen Diane Cleere Molinar, 80, of Missoula, passed away on February 7, 2022 surrounded by her family. Helen was born on June 30, 1941, in Geneva, New York to Thomas and Lydia Cleere. At the age of eight she left New York with her mother and brother on a train and traveled to San Marino, California to live with her maternal grandparents. Helen attended San Marino High School and graduated in 1959. She was a member of the Future Nurses Program for three years and for those close to her, it was clear how much she cared about helping others. On April 3, 1964, she married Raoul G Molinar in Pasadena, California. The couple lived in Bonita, California following their nuptials and moved 13 times before settling down in Oak Park, California in 1972. Helen worked as a secretary and yard-supervisor for Brookside Elementary and was also a Girl Scout Leader for several years. After retirement, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and cats and loved bird-watching. She loved her husband Rolly, only daughter Jennifer and two grandchildren (Hannah and Keifer) completely. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she also cared about her extended family and was always there in times of need. She loved the theater, music, and watching animal shows. Survivors include her husband Raoul, Missoula; her daughter Jennifer Molinar, Missoula; her sister Nona Perry, Sierra Madre, CA; and grandchildren Hannah and Keifer Lorenzen, Missoula. No funeral services will be held at the request of the deceased. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the local Parkinson’s chapter or your local Humane Society.
