Patti Polich Welch

Patti Polich Welch, 73, of Butte, Montana, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 12, 1951, in Butte, Patti attended Immaculate Conception grade school and Butte High School, where she was a proud member of the cheerleading squad.

A lover of music, one of her fondest memories was attending a Beatles concert in 8th grade with her dear friends Sheila, Sheila, and Judy. Patti’s adventurous spirit led her to live in London, England, for a year, an experience she cherished.

In 1972, she married the love of her life, Glen Welch, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Patti was a dedicated mother to Wendy and Scott, who were truly the light of her life. To be present for her children, she worked as a daycare provider, ensuring she was always home to provide stability, consistency, and love. She was the rock of her family, attending all of her children’s activities, no matter the time or place.

Patti was affectionately known as "Momo" to her three cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Hannah, and Owen, who brought her endless joy. Family was everything to Patti, and she loved spending time with them above all else.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Glen Welch; her daughter Wendy (Tim) Loyd of Denver, CO; her son Scott (Kendra) Welch of Missoula, MT; and her beloved grandchildren, Samantha Welch, Hannah Welch, and Owen Loyd. She also leaves behind her brothers Jim Polich (Sue) of Missoula, MT, and Bill Polich (Marilyn) of Butte, MT, along with many dear friends.

At her request, there will be no services. Rest in peace, Princess.
