Recuerdos

Beatrice Belle Paulson passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday February 3rd, 2024, at the age of 83. Bea was born in New Rockford, North Dakota on March 23, 1940. Her family moved to Missoula when she was seven years old.

Growing up, Bea attended Central Grade school and Missoula County High school. Bea was a member of Beta Signa Phi since 1966.  She went on to complete one year at Montana State in Bozeman before returning home and meeting the love of her life, William (Bill) Paulson and they married on August 30,1959 at St Paul Lutheran church. They raised two sons, Bill Jr. and Brad.

Bea worked in bookkeeping and secretarial work during her working career before both Bill and Bea retired in 2000. They enjoyed traveling all over the United States in their 5th wheel travel trailer.  They enjoyed the winters in the southwest where it was warm. After Bill’s passing in 2010, Bea went on to travel with her friends. They visited places like Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii, New York City, and took an Alaskan cruise along with many other adventures. Along with her travels, Bea kept busy at home with her many clubs she belonged to such as bridge, pinochle and bunco groups as well as being a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Bea was a strong and beautiful mother, grandma, and friend. Bea’s presence will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her deeply.

Bea is survived by son Bill Jr. (Lisa), son Brad (Linda), five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law Linda and Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Ruth Anderson, her husband Bill Sr., brother Robert M Anderson and one grandson.

The family would like to thank all the care givers that helped Bea in the last several months. The nurses and staff at Big Sky Home Health, The Missoula Cancer Center, Providence Women’s care, and Community Medical Center – everyone was always professional, kind and courteous.

There will be a celebration of life for Bea at Saint Paul Lutheran Church on February 15th at 2 PM.

Bea will be interned in her final resting place with her one true love, Bill, at the Missoula Veterans Memorial cemetery later in the year.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to Saint Paul Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.

Cousin Bea and I grew up 900 miles apart, so did not get to grow up as good childhood cousin friends. However, I have so enjoyed Bea's effort to rekindle our relationship in recent years. As a couple of non techy types we had fun fumbling through texts and emails.
