Dorothy Belle Moles
23 novembre 1935 - 10 janvier 2024
23 novembre 1935 - 10 janvier 2024
Dorothy Belle Moles passed away on January 10, 2024 under the wonderful care of BeeHive Homes and Big Sky Hospice Care, of natural cases. She was 88 years old.
Dorothy was born November 23, 1935 to Robert and Thelma Richie in Lodi, Ohio. Around the age of 4, the family moved to Bitterroot Valley. Eventually residing in Hamilton where she graduated from Hamilton High School. Shortly after graduating Dorothy married, from this marriage came her 4 children: Debbie (Jerry) Jochinsen, Darryl (Debbie) Watson, Doug (Chris) Watson and Don (Chris) Watson. Dorothy had 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family grew up in Missoula.
Dorothy worked for Missoula Textile Company for 27 Years in the dry cleaning, retiring when she was 60. In 1981, Dorothy reunited with her high school sweetheart, Jim Moles, they married and spent 17 years together before Jim’s passing in 1998. Jim’s daughter Shelly was a teenager and Dorothy helped raise Shelly. They both loved fishing at Gerogetown Lake and Trail Creek. Dorothy kept journals for many years and truly, I think, it was to keep count on who caught the most of biggest fish!
Dorothy also loved her gardening and being involved with the osprey site. Dorothy took part in one of the bandings and took many pictures to share on the site! Iris was her favorite.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, brothers Jay and Joe and stepdaughter, Shelly. She is survived by her 4 children and brothers Gerald, Bob, Ron and Rod.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

Oh I am so sorry to hear of Dorothys passing. My condolences to all the families. Although I did not get to meet Dorothy personally, we were great friends along with many others through the beauty of the Montana Osprey Project with Iris at the helm. Dorothy captures so many wonderful photos of the birds and the nest for all of us, and it it were not for her being our "boots on the ground" we would not have had such great insight into the antics and going ons at the nest at least since I started watching it in 2011. I hope someone in the family will continue enjoying the watercolor painting I did for Dorothy of her beautiful dog Misty. Oh, I am so sad that I did not know about her passing. Have not been on facebook alot these past months. Love to all from Eastern Canada ❤.

I am sad that Dorothy has left us but so thankful that she is no longer suffering. Over the last few years we have visited a lot and become close as cousins and remembering other family members. Rest Easy Dorothy, until we meet again. Love, Hugs and Prayers to all of her children, grandchildren and great .
