John Forrest Crandall

John Forrest Crandall, 46, of Missoula, Montana, passed away on April 19, 2022. John was born November 14, 1975 in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Patrick and Dianna Crandall. He attended Hellgate Elementary School and graduated from Big Sky High School in Missoula in 1994. John worked for many years for Dave Taylor Roofing and later started his own roofing company, Crandall Roofing. John’s love of the outdoors began at a young age. He discovered a passion for snowboarding in middle school that continued on until Snowbowl closed for the 2022 season. While John’s winters were spent on the slopes, his summers were spent on the rivers. Meeting with friends and spending the day on his pontoon boat with a fly rod in his hand was one of his favorite things. The greatest and most important part of his life were his children Maddie, Lillie, and Gavin. They brought so much joy to his life and he was so proud of them. John is preceded in death by his mother and step-father Dianna and Buz Baitsholts, brothers James and Aaron Crandall, and his grandparents. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Maddison Rose Crandall, Lillian Joy Crandall and their mother Kimberly Crandall; his son Gavin Forrest Crandall; his father Patrick Crandall (Julie); his extended family and many friends. ‘There are no goodbyes for us.
