Susan Linnette Pedersen
10 septembre 1949 - 26 février 2026
10 septembre 1949 - 26 février 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce that Susan Linnette Pedersen, 76, of Missoula Montana, passed away on February 26th, 2026. Surrounded by her beloved family, Susan went home to be with our Lord and Savior after a prolonged health battle.
Susan (Sue) was born on September 10th, 1949, in Long Beach California. She lived there briefly before her family relocated to Lakewood California, and then again to Garden Grove, where she attended grade school. Sue spent much of her free time as a young girl soaking up the California sun. She loved frequent family camping trips to Kern River. Her yearly summer vacations were spent at Lake Cachuma with her brother Dan, sisters Linda Penny, and countless cousins. As an avid lover of water, Sue spent her summer days swimming and surfing the California waves, her favorite past time. Her passion for water echoed through academics as well. She was a well-known figure on the swim team at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove California. In addition to swimming, Sue also had a love for the lost art of baton twirling, impressing those she knew with her unique athleticism.
After high school, Sue attended beauty college in Garden Grove, although she later took on a different career path. In 1968, she married her high school sweetheart, Wilhem “Greg” Pedersen, and the newlyweds soon relocated to Huntington Beach California. Together they had two children; Gregory, 57 and Tawnya, 54. In 1974, the family moved to Springfield Oregon, where Sue immersed herself in motherhood, and in her sales position at a local office store, Valley Office Supply. Newly divorced in 1985, she opted for a fresh start in Eugene Oregon, where she continued raising her children.
In 1998, Susan moved one last time to Missoula Montana, where she remained alongside her family until her final day. She worked at “Office City,” a local supply store in downtown Missoula. Even as she aged, Sue kept busy maintaining a full-time work schedule. She had close ties with her community and work family, before eventually retiring in April 2025, after several years of faithful service. Blessed with six grandchildren, there were plenty of extracurricular activities for her to attend.
Sue never missed a choir concert, baseball or volleyball game. Susan was the enviable seamstress of her family, always ready to fix a frayed edge on a blouse or patch a hole in a pair of her grandsons’ trousers. The hand sewn pajama pants which she gifted to each grandchild at Christmas every year will be dearly missed.
Although she is gone, Susan’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her two sisters, Linda and Penny, her son Greg, daughter Tawnya (Scott) and her six grandchildren, Anthony, Hillary, Gregory, Helena, Michelina and Rian.
