Evelyn Lunburg Roth
April 24th, 1929 - May 18th, 2023
April 24th, 1929 - May 18th, 2023
Our sweet mom, Evelyn “Evie” Roth 94, of Missoula that resided at Saint Thomas House, passed away peacefully at St. Pat's Hospital on Thursday, May 18th. The family invites you to a memorial service that will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2023 at 5 pm, in the little chapel at Missoula Missionary Alliance Church “MAC”. 100 E. Foss Ct, Missoula, MT. 59803 The family will bury Evie's remains in Corvallis, MT. along side her beloved husband Joe. Evie was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on April 24, 1929. Evie was proceeded by her husband, Joseph R. Roth Senior and granddaughter, Kaylee Lynn Loewen of Bozeman. Her surviving family includes 5 children; Joe Roth Jr. of Kalispell, MT. , Steve Roth of Missoula, MT. , Lori Hook of Clinton, MT. , Sue Loewen of Bozeman, MT. , and Care Kock of Lewiston, ID. Evie is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren with another one on the way. Evie married the love of her life, “my Joe” on September 27th, 1948 and were married just shy of 60 years before her Joe passed away from cancer. Evie was soft-spoken prayer warrior continually praying for her family and was very much loved by her family. She will always be remembered for her homemade rolls and Swedish pancakes, endless camping trips, how much she loved her reclining lawn chair and reading for hours on end in the sun, swimming/floating in the lake, and transporting as many kids as she could get in the car to Awana. Evie also enjoyed watching country music videos (Alan Jackson was her fave along with Josh Turner and Randy Travis, which she thought the latter two looked like “my Joe”), the Grand Old Opry and Nick-at-Night. There were countless nights the grandkids had sleepovers at their house. Evie had an overwhelming sweet nature and loving soul to anyone she met. She was a wonderful Mom, and Gma and we were so blessed to have 94 years with her. Evie missed “her Joe” for 16 long years after his death, and has wanted to meet Jesus for as long as we can remember. The reunion and meeting in Heaven that they must have had, had to have been an amazing moment. That same reunion she had faithfully prayed for each of her kids, their spouses, grandkids and great-grandkids to experience when it is our time to meet up with she and Jesus in Heaven. We will always miss and love you!
