Hope Campbell, 95, of Missoula passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 peacefully at home. Hope Moeller Campbell, daughter of Erwin and Ester (Madison) Moeller, was born July 12, 1927 in Glencoe, Illinois. She graduated from New Trier High School in Chicago and attended Culver-Stockton College. Hope was united in marriage with William “Lefty” Campbell in Chicago, Illinois and the couple soon moved to Lefty’s hometown of Missoula. Hope worked as a secretary for most of her working career at the University of Montana bookstore, Sentinel and Big Sky High School. She was known for her caring, kind and giving nature. She was also known as a tough lady and strong willed. She was enthusiastic, vivacious and well loved by all who knew her. Mom put family first, sacrificed a lot for the ones she loved. Hope supported various organizations in the community, such as Missoula Children’s Theatre, Missoula Symphony Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Cancer Society, Parkinson’s Foundation and Grizzly sports. Mom will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Hope’s memory will live on through her three children, Colleen Yeoman; Connie Hilton; Douglas (Lynn) Campbell; Three grandchildren, Heather (Dustin) Rich; Sara (Paul) Richardson; Natalie (Arnan) Outhaythip; Nine great grandchildren; Andrew, Averee, Haley, Audrey, Owen, Maverick, Elley, Emersyn and Maddox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lefty Campbell and friend, Earl Danner. A private family celebration will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at justcremationmt. com

So sorry to hear of Hope's passing. Condolences to Colleen, Connie and Doug. She was an important part of my life as a neighbor while growing up. The Campbell house was my second home.

Deepest condolances to Colleen, Connie and Doug for the loss of your mother. As childhood friends from across the street we remember Hope with you. It was always a joy to chat with her when we saw her around town.

Hope was a force of nature! I worked with her at Sentinel while she was secretary for the counselors and again at Big Sky where she was the Attendance Secretary. Hope was serious about her roles in the schools, but also a load of fun. My condolences to you, her kids, and grands. I know that she will be missed.
