Marilyn Kay Decker (Walford), 81 of Missoula Mt passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2024, with her daughter by her side. She was born to Pansy and Ryland Walford on May 26th, 1942. She is survived by her daughter Stacey Decker, great-grandson Kaden Sledge, her sister Valerie Brunson (Bob), a niece Sherry Hopper (Scott, Justin, Aubree), Nephew Scott Kraft, and her cat Bailey.

Marilyn grew up in Missoula and graduated from Missoula High School in 1960. Growing up she loved riding horses and spending weekends at Flathead Lake with her family. She was an excellent cook and would rather be outside working in her yard and gardening.

She is proceeded in death by her son Brian Decker, grandsons, Travis Davis and Corey Schreckendgust. Marilyn was blessed to have hospice services through Partners Hospice. I cannot thank everyone at Partners for all their unconditional love to my mom. I will be forever grateful.

There will be a celebration of life later this summer. I love you more mom.

I will always remember Marilyn’s love for horses but even more her love for you Stacey. You took such good care of your Mom for many years. She was so lucky to have you. We will think of her in the purple lilacs and the purple tint in the sky at sundown. Love you
