Elizabeth Houston, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Sunday morning 5/26/24 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Her closest friend, Patrick and his husband Chris (her “boys”), took care of her in her final years. Elizabeth was a caregiver in the Missoula area for over 25 years, owned her own caregiving business, and helped hundreds of families ensure their elderly members were very well taken care of until she retired due to illness in the fall of 2022.

She was born Erzsébet Vasvári in Fülöp, Hungary, August 28th, 1968, to her mother Erzsébet Tóth and her father Sandor Vasvár. Elizabeth studied in her hometown in Hungary for 4 years before moving the Kaba, Hungary where she finished studying as a seamstress. She helped her parents at work until age 18 when she went to work in Budapest where she met her first husband before moving to the United States.

She is survived by a sister, Veronika, and two nieces, Mariann and Monika, in Hungary. It was her wish to be cremated without any fuss or service, and her ashes spread “wherever is convenient”, or near Ocean Shores North Beach in Washington where she loved watching the Grays Harbor Festival of Color kite-flying event.
