Delbert William McDonald

Delbert William McDonald passed away of natural causes on January 14th 2023 at Village health care in Missoula Montana. Del was born March 1, 1936 in Lewistown Montana. He was 86 years old. Del graduated from Judith Gap high school and attended U of M and Northern Montana University. He also served 8 years in the national guard. He worked in the Missoula area as a mechanic for over 40 years. Del married Judith Johnson in 1961 at Fort Benton Montana. Together they had 6 children, Kevin McDonald, Melanie Tichenor, Michael McDonald, Debbie McDonald, Eula McDonald and Doug McDonald. He is survived by his brother Dale McDonald, sister Betty Mosby, 6 children, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Del was a devoted husband, father and friend to everyone. He always had a project in work and was quick to assist others with theirs. After retirement Del found enjoyment building four wheel bikes from scrap materials. He had many requests for rides from neighbors. Del loved the many hours he spent with his grandchildren and always had time for his friends and family. A memorial service is planned at a later date.
