Helen Marie Jakober

Helen Marie (Schweigert) Jakober, age 80, peacefully passed away in her home in Missoula, MT on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022 with family present. Helen was born to John Schweigert and Regina (Feist) Schweigert in Zeeland, ND on October 6th, 1941. She is survived by her husband Myron, sons Michael, Deron & Jason and daughter Stefanie Jakober. Grandchildren Sarah, Dawson, Shane, & Ryan. Surviving siblings are sisters Marjorie Stevenson, Julia Schneider, Anne Price and Kathleen Bessette. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Clarence Schweigert and sisters Rosemary Schatz and Alice Schweigert. After graduating from Zeeland high school she attended St Alexius School of Nursing in Bismarck, ND. She went to work at Eureka Community Hospital in Eureka, SD for 14 years as a Registered Nurse. In 1966 she married Myron Jakober. When the family moved to Missoula, MT in 1977 she was hired at Community Medical Center where she worked for 31 years as a Registered Nurse on the Med/Surg floor. After retirement she felt the need to continue caring for others and was fortunate finding a wonderful family with 2 little boys, Nathaniel and Liam, whom she was blessed to care for for many years. She was a member of the church choir & Martha’s Ministry. People were touched by her kind heart, her generosity and her warm laugh. She loved knitting, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading, attending concerts & plays. She loved cruises she took to the Caribbean and Alaska and a trip to Hawaii just in time to beat the Corona Virus. A memorial service will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 1475 Eaton St in Missoula at 11 a. m. Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 .
