Julli Suzanne Wakefield
July 14th, 1972 - July 5th, 2023
July 14th, 1972 - July 5th, 2023
Julli Wakefield Our sassy, sarcastic, smart, and stubborn daughter/sister/aunt/niece/ cousin passed away on July 5, 2023. Julli was born in Butte, MT on July 14, 1972. She gained a little sister, Erica, in 1975. She enjoyed reminding Erica that she was a “little” sister because she was shorter than Julli. In 1978 Julli’s family moved to Missoula. She attended school at Paxson, Washington, CS Porter & was part of the graduating class of 1990 from Big Sky High School. In 1986 Julli’s Mom remarried and Julli now had 2 additional sisters, and she was no longer the oldest. Julli loved to dance. In High School Julli was part of the Eagles Drill Team, the Starlites. She loved every moment of practice and performances. She was voted the most improved one year. During her senior year, the marching band and the Drill Team represented Missoula in the Rose Bowl Parade. In her 20’s she also enjoyed doing some dance competitions with her friend, Mike Hanson. She also loved music, astrology, tarot cards, wine, rollerblading, skiing, dancing, travelling & the ocean. In 2001 Julli moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She & Erica drove for four days to get there. She always said she loved it there and her heart & soul thrived near the ocean. Not too long after moving, she landed her dream job as a Party Planner. She absolutely loved that job. In 2003 she began having health issues. After multiple doctor visits and tests, it was confirmed that she was now living with MS. This diagnosis changed her life forever. She never talked about her MS, or how it was affecting her. In 2005, Julli moved back to Montana to be closer to her family. Her health continued to decline until she was no longer able to live on her own. She spent the last seven years at Riverside Healthcare, where she had around-the-clock care. She passed away in her Mother’s arms & surrounded by her family on July 5, 2023. She is survived by her Mom, Mary Lynn (Roy), Father, Ed Wakefield (Susan), sisters Erica Schofield (Gage) & Laurie Brady, uncle, Tom De Laurentis, aunts, Sue De Laurentis (Allen) & Dawn De Laurentis, niece, Jessica Brady, nephew, Tanner Brady, cousins Jamie De Laurentis, Dan De Laurentis, Alyssa Rychard, Brian Davis, TJ De Laurentis, Jason De Laurentis, & Sean De Laurentis (Jessica), and her best friend, Juli MacDonald. She was greeted in heaven by both sets of her grandparents, Lou & Betty De Laurentis, Ed & Helen Wakefield, uncles Nick De Laurentis & John De Laurentis, Aunts Cindy De Laurentis & Kathy De Laurentis, sister, Shelly Lynn, brother-in-law, Tyrone Brady and cousin Terry Belnap. RIP Sweetheart, we are sad you are gone, but we know you are now free from your struggles and are dancing again. We love you long time. There will be no services.
