January 25th, 1949 - October 23rd, 2024
January 25th, 1949 - October 23rd, 2024
Brandi Gay Walden passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 75, in Missoula, MT. Born on January 25, 1949, Brandi grew up in Anaheim, CA, where she attended Dr. Peter Marshall Elementary School and Savanna High School. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Walden, mother Dorothy Walden, sister Linda Walden, and brother Larry Walden. She is survived by her sister, Patrisha Crisp (Kelly Crisp), and William Baird - the love of her life.
Brandi was a Renaissance woman, having pursued multiple careers and hobbies with passion and excellence. From an early age, she was determined to become a cosmetologist, starting her career at 18 in a local salon and eventually running her own successful beauty salon business by the beach. After retiring, she moved to Kanab, Utah, where she built another successful business specializing in pond plants for local homes with water features.
Brandi's vibrant personality and zest for life were evident in her diverse interests. She was an avid outdoorswoman, enjoying camping, gardening, and kayaking at local lakes. Brandi was also a licensed private pilot who often flew to Catalina Island for day trips. Her competitive spirit shone when she won the 18 ft class at the Hobie Regatta in 1985 in Big Bear, California. In addition to her adventurous pursuits, Brandi was a skilled vegetable gardener, knitter, sewer, and crocheter. She also played the guitar and ukulele, often singing along as she played.
At her request, there will not be a memorial service. Brandi's legacy is marked by her profound impact on those around her through her caring nature, entrepreneurial spirit, and boundless enthusiasm for life's adventures.

Just recently found out Brandi has passed away. We dated for a couple of years from 1974. I have thought of her over the years and hoped one day we would meet up again. I had met her at the salon in Newport Beach.

How did you meet Brandi?
I remember the day so well. It was at the family house on Magnolia. I walked down the alley to Pats house. We were maybe 7 years old. When I arrived, Pats sisters were in the kitchen. That is when I met her oldest sister, Linda & Brandi. We called her Brenda back then. Linda was very out going. Brandi was more reserved.
