Jack K Cutshall

 

Jackie “Jack” King Cutshall, 85, went home to be with Jesus on June 12, 2025. Jack passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family in Clinton, MT. He is survived by his brother Ronald Cutshall; wife Regina Cutshall; Granddaughter Lyndayle Smith; husband Mike Smith; and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his loving wife Karen Cutshall and two children Jimmy Cutshall and Nicholas Cutshall.

 

Jack entered this world on February 1st , 1940, in Hessville, Indiana, born to Warden K. and Lois V. Cutshall. Jack met the love of his life Karen R. Duckett at 12 years old. From that moment on, he knew he was going to marry her. Jack and Karen were married on July 26th, 1958, in Hammond, Indiana. 

 

This union was blessed with two strapping boys Jimmy and Nikki. Shortly after starting their new family, they made the move to Albuquerque, NM in 1960. They spent the next 60+ years calling Albuquerque their home.

 

Jack had a real love for music. He began playing the saxophone in 5th grade while in school at Lafayette Junior High School. Jack went on to produce several records and was in a wonderful band for close to 50 years. They were the headliner for October Fest in Ruidoso, NM for 50 years. They were in great demand throughout the state of New Mexico for many, many years. The music was infectious because they could always get the crowds moving and dancing.

 

In addition to music, Jack worked as a property manager, mechanic, insurance, and owned Cutshall Reality and Investment, among other trades.

 

Jack and Karen loved to travel and explored our country from coast to coast. Throughout the years they camped in every state in our union and saw all the hidden gems and beautiful scenery this country has. Jack had a love for “Jeeping” that he gained from a man he met in Loma Parta, NM; who showed him that he needed a jeep to see all the back country. This became a lifelong adventure of exploring back country throughout the United States. He always said that he has seen more back country than most white men in this country.

 

Jack has always had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was overall an outstanding, optimistic man, who was full of integrity and true honest character. He was admired by many for his words of wisdom and strength. He truly lived.

 

Over the past several years Jack had to overcome the loss of his precious wife of 65 years and his oldest son, who passed at the young age of 63. Although he fought long and hard and experienced true heart break, he continued to make people smile and enjoy being around him. Jack will be truly missed. Rest in Peace Jack. You finally made it home to be with Jesus, your beautiful wife and two precious boys.
