Kathryn Lee (Souleret) Ogren, 78, of Missoula, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Kathryn was born April 2, 1947, in Tuolumne, California to Priscilla Marie Heller and Fred Daniel Souleret. She carried a deep appreciation for life’s beauty throughout her years and had a special gift for noticing the small moments that others might pass by.

Family was the center of Kathryn’s world. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, David Otto Ogren; her children, Genavie Alaine Marie Ogren and Jered David Ogren; her grandchildren, Violet Tofanelli, Noah Tofanelli, and Nicolas Tofanelli; and her siblings, Fred Daniel Souleret II and Barbara Ann Souleret, cherished niece Carrie Matthews (Lando) and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Kathryn had many passions that brought joy to her life and the lives of those around her. She loved spending time with her family, admiring beautiful sunsets, tending to flowers, jigsaw puzzles, and surrounding herself with things that reflected her sense of awe —lighthouses, wind chimes, crystals, and animals. She enjoyed watching the Golden State Warriors and professional soccer, and she especially loved traveling to cheer on her grandsons at their soccer games.

One of Kathryn’s favorite places was the outdoor swing, where she would sit quietly, listen to the wind chimes, and admire the beauty of nature around her. It was in moments like these that those who loved her could see how deeply she appreciated the world. Two weeks before her passing, Kathryn called her daughter outside to share a breathtaking sunset. Together they stood on the porch watching the sky fill with brilliant shades of pink, orange, purple, and gold—one more moment of beauty she wanted to share.

Kathryn will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the way she encouraged others to pause and notice the beauty around them. Kathryn felt closest to God when surrounded by nature's beauty and her memory lives on in every sunset and in the hearts of those who loved her. The family thanks all who have shared their love and support.
