Recuerdos

Katherine Christine Scott passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, just shy of her 98th birthday.  Katherine was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan to Harry and Floy Roselle Egeland on April 2, 1927.  She was a devoted wife of the late LCDR Frank P. Scott, a loving mother to sons, Greg and Christopher and daughters, Suzanne and Carolyn.  She adored her 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Katherine was known for her warmth, grace, sense of humor and her tough determination to live her life on her own terms.  Her legacy is one of glamour, compassion for others and the love of her many cats.  She spent years in the nursing field caring for others and spent the last few years living at the Village Nursing facility where they took care of her in the same manner.

She is survived by her children:  Greg (Pat) Scott; Suzanne (Mike) Donelson; Christopher Scott and Carolyn (Sageman) Scott.  Grandchildren:  Paul (Micah) Donelson; Bethany (Joel) Robinson; Noah (Katie) Donelson; Lindsey (Raul) Rousselin; Jaime (Randy) Long; Kristen (Jake) Heiberger; and Sarah Sprague.  Great grandchildren:  Jack, Kruz, and Sael Robinson; Spencer and Kinsley Long; Sam and Luke Heiberger; Daniel and Miguel Rousselin; Michael and Dax Donelson; Avery and Colette Donelson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also.  Per her wishes, she will be cremated and put on her daughter's fireplace mantle where she would be warm and cozy.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Harriett (Clarence) Tripp and brother Roy (Georgeanne) Egeland.

In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider memorials to Animeals of Missoula, Montana at 1700 Rankin St.  59808.  She will be lovingly remembered and forever in our hearts.

¿Cuál es tu recuerdo más antiguo de Katherine?

My earliest memory of Grandma Kathy was sitting on her steps in the sunroom in her high heels looking at all the jewelry options that would accompany my outfit. We had so many special times getting ready for the day at her make up vanity and going through her jewelry. Kathy was a classy lady and always had the best style! Popped collar, perfume and looking sassy in her white pants!

What a beautiful tribute to your mother! I remember so fondly the big pot of hamburger soup with dumplings boiling on the stove to welcome family and friends into your home on Daly Street. She was full of elegance and had such a cute little laugh throughout her life. Wow! Look at her legacy throughout your family. I think my favorite song is “I Can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me that brings comfort during this time. Here is the link to listen to it. https://youtu.be/iWGbHWYtw3E
