Dale Marion Zigan  January 9, 1936-January 11, 2024

Dale Marion Zigan, age 88, passed away on January 11th, 2024, with her loving husband of 66 years by her side. Dale was born in Park Rapids, MN on January 9th, 1936, the oldest of three children born to Marion and Frances Crider.

Dale was the devoted and loving wife of George J Zigan, mother of Janeice Dahlseid and oldest sister of Terrence (Terry) Crider and Anthony (Tony) Crider. She was, also, a grandmother, great grandmother, amazing mother-in-law, and a friend to all who entered her home.

Dale had the gift of hospitality and always put others above herself regardless of who they were. Her welcoming smile made you know you were accepted, and everything would be OK. Dale loved deeply, was a defender of those who could not defend themselves, cried when others cried, laughed when others laughed and often laughed at herself.   She believed life's big moments were to be celebrated and remembered every birthday and anniversary. Her loving heart touched many throughout the years and made lives so much richer just from knowing her. Dale enjoyed traveling, especially to Tacoma, WA, flower and vegetable gardening, daily walks, visits with her daughter and grandchildren, going to farmers markets, poodles, chocolate ice cream, talking about her adventures as a child and shopping with her daughter.

Dale lived most of her married life in Minneapolis, MN and worked many different jobs. After going back to school Dale became a licensed manicurist and quickly advanced to a managerial position which she held until retirement in 1996. The majority of her life was lived in Minnesota, but she and George moved in 2006 to Montana to be near their daughter and family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Marion Crider and Frances Severson of Long Prairie, MN. Dale is survived by her husband George J Zigan of Browerville, MN Daughter and son-in-law, Janeice and Tom Dahlseid of Florence, MT, Brother Terrence (Terry) Crider of Sauk Center, MN and Brother Anthony (Tony) Crider of Anchorage, AK.

Dales' presence will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Dale's life will be held in the summer of 2024.
