Franklin Joseph Smith, 76, of Missoula, MT, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his home.
Frank was born March 20, 1948, to Eric and Frances Smith in Wallace, Idaho. While working in the mines of Idaho’s Silver Valley he met and married the former Linda McNutt. They later moved to Missoula, Montana, where he went to work for Grizzly Fence Company as a fencer.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Linda Smith; his children and their families: Corey Smith, Roxanna Smith, Eric R. Smith, and Christine Smith; grandson, Elijah David Miller Smith; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Per Frank’s wishes cremation rites will be afforded and no services will be held.

Uncle Frank was around us early in Me and Mike's life he watched after us and taught us to be tough! We lost touch with him when we moved to Kentucky. Caught back up when we went to visit Grandma in Idaho that great than 2mths later Grandma died and Mom and all us brothers came out to the funeral got to spend time with Frank. I always respected Frank he was one tough Dude? R.I.P.
