Terry Lee Munnerlyn
15 août 1955 - 22 septembre 2026
15 août 1955 - 22 septembre 2026
Terry Munnerlyn, 71, of Missoula, MT passed away on September 22, 2026, peacefully in his sleep after a long hard fight with cancer.
Terry was born on August 15, 1955, in Delano, CA, the son of Clarence Munnerlyn and Violet Weaver (Munnerlyn).
Terry graduated from Desha Central High School in 1974. He earned the first diploma in the family.
Terry married Sherry Morehead on August 16, 1974, in Greenville, MS. They celebrated their 52nd anniversary before his passing. They later moved to McGhee, AR before starting a family of their own. In 1976 they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sherra, followed by a son named Nicholas in April of 1980. They bult a loving family together which would later consist of not only their two children but also 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren along with one on the way. These kids were all his greatest treasures in life. He was made to be a Dad, Papa, Grandpa, and Pappy, but first and foremost a loving supportive husband. Sherry will always be the love of his life.
Terry started out farming as a young adult in Arkansas. Moving on to working in his wife’s family upholstery business before he and Sherry decided to move to Missoula, MT in 1981. After finding a job with Economy Body doing upholstery work for some time, he decided to open his own upholstery shop with his wife working alongside him. Auto Seat Covers was formed where they worked side by side for years. He then decided it was time for something new and was asked to help start a new composting facility, EKO Compost. He loved his job and gained a lot of knowledge building that plant from the ground up. He went on to start several other plants in different states. Even as far away as Hawaii, where he and his son spent three months together, building that plant and getting it up and running before returning home. He took pride in all he accomplished during his more than 20 years there. Only leaving there after numerous heart attacks forced him to retire early.
Terry will always be remembered for being the most caring person. Even to the one he just met. He always wanted everyone to be taken care of and have a place to go anytime they were in need. He would give you his last dime if you needed it. He had the biggest heart of anyone. He loved to ride motorcycles with his son and daughter. Going on many adventures over the years. Once winter came you could find him spending time snowmobiling with his friends and family. He loved the Montana outdoors. Once he became a grandfather, you could find him spending his time with those precious grandbabies.
Terry left behind his wife Sherry. His daughter Sherra Grosvenor (Brandon). His granddaughters Makayla Jara (Nicholas), Tanay Munnerlyn (Dmetri), and Alissa Grosvenor. Grandsons Nicholas Munnerlyn (Lyssah), Trey Munnerlyn (Derek), and Colton Grosvenor. Great Grandchildren Andi, Nicholas Jr., Kace, Datsun, and Cressida Jara. Brothers Troy, Jimmy, and Fred. Sisters May, Fay, and Barbara Jean. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and so many very dear friends that are all considered family as well.
Per Terry’s request he will be cremated. We will be having a celebration of his amazing life on October 10, 2026, at 2:00pm at his daughter’s home at 906 Gladis Drive in Missoula. Feel free to bring a side dish to share, a chair if you would like sit and enjoy the fire, and lots of great stories to share.
